Michael T. Hall began his own real estate and development company in 1973 in Woodbridge, VA. His first project was build-to-suits for a major convenience store chain. He also began developing land into single lots for home builders. Some 4,000 lots were created over a 10-year period.

Beginning in the 1980’s, his company began constructing office parks, offering office condo’s for sale or lease and also began constructing and acquiring retail shopping centers.

In 1987, his nephew J.C. Hall joined the company. In 1997, MTH Management Corporation was formed to manage the growing assets of the company.

To date, the company has developed nine office parks with over 50 campus-style office buildings in Northern Virginia and has developed 12 shopping centers in Virginia and West Virginia. Currently, a new retail/office park in Gainesville is in the works, along with the expansion of the England Run/Rt. 17 area to a 15,000 sq. ft. shopping center.
